I prefer to work with modern tools such as Webflow, Webstudio, Craft CMS and FlutterFlow to build websites and apps that are flexible, efficient and future-proof. Where needed, I complement this with traditional coding, always with a focus on performance, usability and scalability.
I also value close collaboration with creative partners in design, copy and strategy, translating interdisciplinary ideas into clearly structured, strong digital experiences that fit each client perfectly.
Development
Webflow, Webstudio and Craft CMS form the technical foundation for high-performance, scalable websites. Depending on the project, I complement these tools with traditional HTML, CSS and JavaScript to ensure maximum control, flexibility and clean code structures.
SEO & AEO
SEO and AEO (optimization for AI bots) are an integral part of every project. Technical cleanliness, semantic structures and optimized content ensure that websites stay visible and relevant in both traditional search engines and AI-powered systems.

At the core of KOMUNIQUE are innovation, collaboration and quality. The name combines “communication” with “unique”, and that is exactly what I stand for: individual, well-thought-out digital communication solutions. I question standards, think ahead and build web presences that convince in both content and technology. The combination of structure and creativity shapes my work.
My journey
KOMUNIQUE grew out of many years of development and goes back to HeadStarterz, a marketing agency I founded in 2016 with a focus on the legal market. As the focus shifted increasingly to high-quality web development, KOMUNIQUE emerged as an independent brand. I sold HeadStarterz in 2021 and have run KOMUNIQUE ever since as an independent web agency with a clear focus on branding, web design and development across all industries.
My expertise
KOMUNIQUE stands for solid technical expertise. I work with Webflow, Craft CMS, Shopify, Webstudio and FlutterFlow and deliberately rely on visual development to stay efficient and flexible. Where needed, I write custom, clean code by hand. I bring many years of experience in website and app development and guide projects from concept to launch.

I don't work in isolation. I rely on close collaboration. Together with a well-established network of designers, developers and copywriters, we deliver projects holistically and to a high standard. Every discipline where it is strongest.

KOMUNIQUE is the web design and development agency of Philipp Roth in Appenzell, Switzerland. For over ten years, I have been building websites for SMEs, startups and organizations in Switzerland, from the first idea through concept and design to launch and ongoing support.
No. I'm based in Appenzell, but my projects come from all over Switzerland. Most of the collaboration happens online, and for kick-offs, workshops and photo shoots I'm happy to come on site. Distance has never been an issue on any project.
KOMUNIQUE is a sole proprietorship with an established partner network. Concept, copy and visual design are created together in das Kreativkollektiv, while I handle development, SEO and the technical side myself. You always have the same point of contact and never have to go through a project manager.
Primarily with Webflow, following the Client-First standard, because it's modular, scalable and can be maintained without a developer. Depending on the project, Craft CMS, Webstudio or Shopify come into play. What matters isn't the tool, but that you can manage your website yourself afterward.
Development, SEO and AEO, user experience and the sensible use of AI. SEO isn't an add-on package for me, it's part of the build from day one. The same goes for AEO, meaning your visibility in AI systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini.
